Welcome to my website!

I’m author Eli Sickler and my debut novel is 'House of Red'. It was released earlier this month from Sunbury Press, Hellbender Imprint and you can find it through the tabs at the top of my website.

The concept came from the idea that I’ve never been happy with the story of Little Red Riding Hood, so I wanted to try it from a different perspective. After I finished the story, I initially self-published it via Amazon.

In the fall of 2022, I attended the 2nd Annual Chocolate Town Book Festival (CTBF). It was hosted by the Hershey Library and Cupboardmaker Books. I’ve done a few signings for Cupboardmaker Books before and they're always great to work with. (Plus, they have cats available for adoption at their store!)

The CTBF had a good setup and there was a decent turnout. I also met Lawrence Knorr of Sunbury Press and he gave me his card and told me to contact him.

I reached out to him afterwards and we chatted about my writings and potentially signing me to Sunbury Press. The rest is, as they say, history. I signed with Sunbury Press and under their Hellbender Imprint, ‘House of Red‘ has now been traditionally published and is now available for purchase from both Sunbury Press and Amazon!

I’m excited to continue working with Sunbury Press and Hellbender Imprint!

I can’t begin to describe how ecstatic I am at finally succeeding in one of my bucket list items! It’s official: I’m now a traditionally published author!!!

Next up for my writing adventures is editing the sequel to 'House of Red,' entitled 'Wicked Wolves'. The sequel follows the group as they struggle to find Vivie who has been kidnapped. They must race against the clock to try and find her before she is forced to join an army of wicked wolves and be lost to them forever.

I have also written a third book, 'Bonita Blue'. This story is completely different from anything you’ve read before! Centered around scuba diving in beautiful Cozumel, Mexico, the reader will be transported to a vibrant underwater world filled with colorful corals and dazzling fish. It's not as good as actually diving, but it’s close!

Finally, I have plans for several more stories (and that list keeps growing!), including a potential third book in my Tales of the Red Wolf series and a fantasy book centered around one of my other loves: cats.
